Thank you for reading, Maude!
Believe it or not, having a legally blind coroner (or medical examiner) at the time was not unusual. I can't imagine it didn't have some kind of impact on the case - along with everything else. Clearly, Donehoo was an educated man but didn't have a lot of medical experience/training.
Clearly some of the murders were committed by husbands/partners in domestic violence situations (and those who were piggybacking on the Ripper's reign) but I think even outside of that, there was more than one killer. The Ripper himself probably counted about 10 victims of those I listed. However, there are probably more victims we just don't know about. And how sad is it that there were so many unidentified females?
Thanks again for reading and posting!
